Tenacious Fitness with Liz is owned and operated by an Army Reserve Sergeant, licensed athletic trainer, and ISSA certified personal trainer, running coach, and nutritionist. With a passion for helping others, Tenacious Fit was founded with the goal of guiding those new to exercise, military, and first responders reach their fitness goals. It's no secret that regular exercise is one of the biggest keys to a longer, healthier life.

Personal: I grew up playing all kinds of sports - softball, basketball, volleyball, etc. - before making my high school's swim team my sophomore year. I wasn't the best athlete but always tried my best. It wasn't until I graduated high school that I started taking fitness seriously . . . the same time I caught the triathlon bug. I've gone from not being able to run a mile to running marathons and completed my first half-Ironman in 2022. I've now been participating in triathlons for 14 years and counting. However, I've never forgotten my chapter 1 and how far I've come. Professional: I started off my career in the health and fitness industry as a lifeguard and swim instructor; I coached multiple adults to completing their first triathlon and even coached youth swim teams. I joined the Army Reserves to help pay for my education and was trained to by an LPN, but my passion remained in helping people enjoying healthy, active lifestyles. I started working as a personal trainer while studying at Lenoir-Rhyne University and found immense joy in helping those just starting their journey. As an athletic trainer, I've worked at all three NCAA divisions and specialize in injury prevention measures for college student-athletes. I started Tenacious Fitness as a way to continue to help others begin their fitness journey and take the guesswork out of where to start. I remember the first time I walked into the gym and being overwhelmed, not knowing what to do or where to begin. I wanted to make my knowledge available to anyone who wanted it, regardless of where they are both physically and in their journey. I also wanted to help my fellow Service Members perform better at their job while also reducing the risk of injury.
